WHY JACA

Since 2007, on the ground overseas,
we have walked alongside Korean students abroad on their path to university.

Depending on the overseas school system, enrollment and residence history and time of return, eligibility, required documents and academic plans differ.
JACA starts by checking the student's current situation.

  1. 01

Overseas education experience built up since 2007

Guiding students directly on the ground overseas,
we have experienced the many educational environments of Korean students abroad.

  2. 02

Education and admissions as one process

We don't stop at diagnosis — we connect career, education, inquiry, university analysis
    and application strategy.

  3. 03

We add research and data to experience

We research each university's admission tracks and evaluation criteria and students' subject and extracurricular
data, and use them in our analysis.

About JACA

JACA is a education and admissions institute for 재외국민 (overseas Koreans) that began in 2007 on the ground overseas. Starting with running overseas academies, we have built up varied educational experience — operating an AP international school, hosting the JACA Youth Academic Festival in China and running the Konkuk University vacation camp — and today we provide career, education and admissions guidance to students in Korea and abroad through the Daechi main campus, 4 overseas branches, the live online class center and the JACA Education & Admissions Research Institute.

We look at the student before the university

Every student has a different school and curriculum, and different grades, activities, interests and career paths. That is why we do not start by recommending a university.

We comprehensively analyze the curriculum, subject choices, academic competence, extracurricular activities, inquiry experience, career and major, and connect them to each university's evaluation criteria to design the study and application strategy the student needs most.

Education and admissions as one process

Simply discovering weaknesses through consultation does not change a student. After analyzing and diagnosing the student, we connect the needed study and inquiry to real education and keep managing the process.

We add research and data to experience

We do not rest on nearly 20 years of accumulated educational experience. Centered on the Education & Admissions Research Institute, we continuously research and turn into data each university's admission tracks and evaluation criteria, majors and curricula, students' subject and extracurricular records and application results.

On top of this we add AI-based analysis and cross-verification, building a more precise education and admissions system that does not rely only on individual experience and intuition.

This is how JACA thinks about education and admissions consulting

Student analysis→ Diagnosis→ Career & major design→ Education→ Inquiry→ Management→ University analysis→ Application strategy

Based on official admission guidelines

Eligibility is decided by the university. We show you separately what can be confirmed from the guidelines and what still needs confirmation, with the grounds and sources displayed.

We don't hide uncertainty

We don't use a "possible / impossible" dichotomy. When a judgment is hard, we write why it is hard and which official rules need checking.

The final judgment is made by people

We do not send out automatically generated results as they are. Data reveals possibilities, JACA AI helps with analysis, and the consultant decides the final direction.

01

Overseas education experience built up since 2007

We did not study the education of overseas students only through documents. Since 2007 we have met and guided students directly on the ground overseas.

International schools · overseas Korean schools · local schools — a foundation for understanding students in very different environments

02

From academies to international schools, run directly

We have run not only academies but also international schools ourselves, experiencing the whole educational process — curriculum, subject choice, academic management, career, and even university admission. That is why we do not look at transcripts as numbers alone.

From Academy to International School — down to “what a student chose in which curriculum and how they grew”

03

Experience creating students' inquiry and growth ourselves

By hosting and organizing the JACA Youth Academic Festival in China, we created an academic stage where students ask questions on their own, investigate, and present research results, and through the Konkuk University vacation camp we supported them in broadening their studies and career paths by visiting a university's educational environment.

Academic Research & Growth — we see extracurriculars not as specs but as a process of interest, inquiry and growth

04

An education network connecting Korea and overseas

Based on the Daechi main campus, 4 overseas branches, the live online class center and the JACA Education & Admissions Research Institute, we connect education in Korea and abroad. We are building a system that links the education and consulting a student needs, wherever they study.

Domestic Edu & Overseas Edu & Online Edu

05

Education and admissions as one system

JACA consulting does not aim to recommend universities. After analyzing the student and diagnosing what is lacking, we supplement it through real education and inquiry activities.

Education & Admission Consulting — student analysis → diagnosis → career & major design → education → inquiry → management → university analysis → application strategy

06

We add research, data and AI to experience

We do not rely on 20-plus years of experience alone. We research and turn into data each university's admission tracks and evaluation criteria, majors and curricula, students' subject and extracurricular records and past application results, and analyze and cross-verify the vast material with JACA AI.

Experience & Research & Data & JACA AI & Consultant Judgment

Data discovers possibilities, JACA AI helps with analysis, and the consultant decides the final direction.
The one question JACA has always kept
“What does this student truly need right now?”

It is the question JACA has kept asking ever since 2007, when we first began guiding 특례 students overseas.

  • Not education that makes students do more, but education that finds what is truly needed now.
  • Not consulting that starts by choosing a university name, but consulting that strives to understand the student first.
  • Not admissions aimed only at acceptance, but admissions that designs the student's growth potential and future together.

JACA understands the student, discovers possibilities, and designs the university and future together.

JACA PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING

Understood through experience,
made precise by AI,
completed by experts

JACA consulting is not simply admissions advice that recommends a university. We discover a student's career and growth potential, and design and manage the path that suits the student best, all the way to applying to universities in Korea and abroad.

특례 consulting

20 years of educational experience plus AI

Deep experience, precise analysis, systematic management. JACA consulting is not simply admissions advice that recommends a university. Based on more than 20 years of experience on the ground with students — running overseas academies and international schools since 2007, the JACA Youth Academic Festival in China, the Konkuk University camp and more — we design the student's career, growth and university admission together.

20-plus years of experience on the ground

EXPERIENCE

We have put into our consulting the experience built by teaching and counseling countless students at overseas academies and schools. We understand and solve each student's different educational environment, curriculum, grades, language, career and admissions problems from the viewpoint of the real educational field.

AI-based JAIS (JACA AI)

AI

With JAIS, an AI-based consulting system built by JACA itself, we systematically analyze and manage a student's academic, activity, career and admissions information. Rather than relying only on an individual consultant's experience and instinct, we aim for more precise and consistent consulting through accumulated data and AI.

PREMIUM · Expert consulting

EXPERT

Premium consulting is based on JAIS analysis and management by a dedicated consultant, and adds field-specific expert consulting in the areas you need. It supports important career and admissions decisions by combining three things: the analytical power of AI + the experience of the consultant + the expertise of the specialist.

Consulting today must depend neither on experience alone nor on AI alone. We analyze 20-plus years of experience precisely with AI and complete it with expert judgment. — diagnosis → analysis → prescription → management

Haven't decided on a career yet? That's okay

“My child still doesn't know what they want to do.” For students whose career has not been decided, JACA built a separate career exploration system (JPP). It analyzes disposition and interests, academic ability and experience to explore promising careers and majors, and keeps managing so that the explored path develops into the student's actual direction. We do not decide a career for a student once — we stay with the whole process of the student finding and refining their own career.

01 · School-grade (GPA) management group classes

Classes by school and subject, up to 3 students in small groups

Even for the same subject, progress, exam scope and assessment methods differ by school and curriculum. We group students studying the same subject at the same school and manage everything together, from preview to review, assignments and exams.

We focus on individual academic problems that are hard to solve in group classes, tailored to one student.

1:1 classes by subject

All AP · IB · A-Level · IGCSE courses and subjects. Based on the progress of the school the student attends and their current academic state, we choose the areas needed and manage them intensively — preview → review → assignments → school exams → Final Exam.

  • Students who lack the basics in a particular subject
  • Students who find it hard to keep up with school progress
  • Students who must prepare intensively for a specific exam in a short time

TOEFL · SAT 1:1 classes

Not every student needs the same study. 1:1 is most effective when an individual's weak areas are clear. We analyze your current ability and target score and intensively supplement the areas you need.

  • Students who repeatedly lose points on certain question types
  • Students who need to reach a target score in a short time

Who it is for

  • We strengthen key math and science concepts together with the ability to solve difficult problems
  • We adjust the direction of academic management by connecting with admissions consulting

Offline classes · Daechi main campus

We gather and focus during vacations

We continue with video classes during the school year, and hold offline intensive courses at the Daechi main campus during vacations. Schedule, venue and capacity are announced each season.

Offline courses can be taken online instead. If your return schedule doesn't fit, you can continue the same course by video class.

Vacation intensive courses

In winter we open intensive courses for official exams and admission preparation, and in summer, subject supplement courses that get ahead on next semester's progress. Classes are divided by level.

Mid-term returnee class

We fill gaps in school records and differences from the Korean curriculum at the time of return. We start with the subjects needed to match the transfer enrollment period.

Overseas-departure preparation class

We run a preliminary course so students about to leave can quickly get on track with the local curriculum (AP · IB · A-Level · IGCSE).

JACA HiSTEM · special class for top STEM

Admission to top STEM programs needs a different start and preparation direction

This is a special program for students aiming at KAIST · POSTECH · UNIST · DGIST · GIST · KENTECH & SKY STEM programs. It is not simply a class to raise math and science grades. Considering the abilities that top STEM universities require, we run a separate program that connects math and science academic ability, advanced study, inquiry ability and admission preparation.

HiSTEM target students

  • Students aiming at KAIST-type institutes and SKY STEM programs
  • Students who need advanced math and science study
  • Students who want to build inquiry ability beyond high school grades
  • Students who want to systematically link their major direction and academic activities

Different from regular video classes

HiSTEM is not an upper level of the regular group class. It follows a separate course.

  • Student selection
  • Target major and university analysis
  • Academic level diagnosis
  • Setting learning and inquiry direction by student
  • Running the HiSTEM-only program

HiSTEM consulting — STEM-based admission strategy

It continues beyond classes into consulting. We analyze math and science academic ability and inquiry ability and design a preparation strategy suited to KAIST, POSTECH, UNIST, DGIST, GIST, KENTECH and SKY STEM programs.

See HiSTEM instructors
HiSTEM is not a course that creates eligibility; it is a process of first checking and then filling in the required course completion and inquiry. Selection is decided by each university's admission guidelines.
JACA TEXTBOOK

We connect international-school study into a single learning system

Not scattered PDFs and printouts — we organize each subject's flow with key concepts by curriculum, plenty of practice problems and detailed explanations. We develop Korean and English editions together so that students of AP · IB · A-Level · IGCSE can carry on by themselves from understanding concepts → applying to problems → exam preparation.

AP

AP textbooks

Composed of key concepts by subject and past-exam question types for Calculus BC, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Computer Science and more.

IB DIPLOMA

IB textbooks

Links concepts and problem application in HL courses such as Mathematics AA HL, Physics HL, Chemistry HL and Biology HL.

A-LEVEL

A-Level textbooks

Textbooks matched to the AS · A2 flow for Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and more.

IGCSE

IGCSE textbooks

We develop them in order, starting with the main subjects, after analyzing student demand and the need for each curriculum.

Textbook setRole
CORE TEXTBOOKA key-concept book based on past-exam analysis. It systematically organizes the concepts you must know and what the exam needs.
WORKBOOKA workbook by unit and question type. It provides enough problems and real-exam practice to apply concepts to actual questions.
SOLUTION BOOKA detailed solutions book. It is designed so you understand the solution process and key points, not just check the correct answer.
KOREAN / ENGLISH EDITIONKorean and English editions. Concepts that are hard in English can be understood accurately in Korean, and the English edition lets you re-check international-school expressions.

How JACA TEXTBOOK is different

  • Curriculum-based — organized to fit the AP · IB · A-Level · IGCSE curricula and the traits of each subject
  • Exam-based — key summaries based on analysis of past exams and main question types
  • Textbook + Workbook + Solutions — connecting everything at once from concepts to problem solving and explanations
  • Self-study — designed so students carry on preview, class, review, problem solving and exam preparation by themselves

Why JACA makes them ourselves

Overseas international-school students often rely on school PDFs and printouts through G10, and even at the AP · IB · A-Level stage find it hard to get textbooks that organize concepts systematically and offer enough practice. At JACA, instructors with international-school experience, subject specialists and an editorial team work together to build the textbooks students actually need.

  • A learning system used from school studies through the Final Exam
  • A structure that runs from understanding key concepts to applying them to problems
  • Textbooks that prepare for everyday study and the final exam together, not just a workbook for right before the exam

Purchase

Choose the course, subject and edition (Korean or English) and apply, and we will guide you on stock and shipping. Class students can apply together when applying for classes.

Overseas shipping time and cost differ by country. We will guide you individually after receiving your application, and payment proceeds after you have checked the guidance.

Essay / Interview

Decide what to write before you write

Without activities on record, you cannot turn them into sentences. We treat the self-introduction essay as the last step of organizing the history you have prepared. We review both Korean and English.

ESSAY · Korean · English

Essay

We start with a structure that connects your motivation for the major with your activities, and review in rounds.

  • Structure design linking motivation, activities and academic history
  • Checking for content conflicts between submitted documents
  • Separate reviewers for Korean and English
  • Review round records — what was changed and why is kept on file

INTERVIEW · Individual · Panel · English

Interview

Expected questions come from your activity record. We organize your materials first and check with a mock interview.

  • Organizing expected questions and supporting material
  • Mock interview and feedback
  • Checking that answers match what you wrote in your documents
  • Preparation by interview type (individual · panel · English)
Overseas university consulting

We start by finding the application region that favors the student

Universities in Asia, Europe and the Americas differ in evaluation criteria, application methods, and the weight of quantitative and qualitative elements. With our own region-diagnosis program, JACA Global Fit Map (GFM), we comprehensively analyze the student's grades, curriculum, target major and school activities to suggest the most favorable application region and university group.

This is how JACA prepares

Student competitiveness analysis→ Region diagnosis→ Building the university group→ Early · Regular strategy→ Extracurricular design→ Building the application story→ Essay · document management→ Final application schedule management

SINGAPORE · HONG KONG · ASIA

Asian university consulting

Grades are the starting point of admission, and subject choice and application timing change the result. Major universities in Asia such as Singapore and Hong Kong often value international curricula and official test scores, but competitions, activities inside and outside school and personal research also become differentiators showing fit for the major.

  • Favorable subject combinations and setting target scores
  • Counting back the application schedule from exam dates and final-grade release
  • Designing competitions, school activities and personal research direction

UK · EUROPE

European university consulting

Even within Europe, the criteria that decide admission differ by country, university and major. Top UK universities weigh academic ability and fit for the major, and some majors weigh entrance exams and academic interviews. In continental Europe, how Motivation Letters, portfolios, online assessments and interviews count varies by university.

  • Analyzing application conditions by country, university and major
  • Planning entrance exams, the Personal Statement and the Motivation Letter
  • Portfolio, academic interview and application schedule management

US · CANADA

American university consulting

Grades are the foundation of an application, and the student's own story completes competitiveness. US universities look comprehensively not only at grades and official tests but at activities, leadership, awards, essays, recommendations and the process of growth. Canada has many grade-centered admissions, but some competitive majors require a Personal Profile, supplemental essays, activity documents and even video responses.

  • Building the university group and Early · Regular strategy
  • Managing the Common Application, university-specific essays and the activity list
  • Designing recommendation-letter direction, supplemental documents, interviews and submission schedule
We design the whole overseas-university admission process by student — choosing universities and majors, a school-activity roadmap, self-introduction and essays, application strategy, and schedule and document management.
Instructor recruitment

We are looking for instructors to join us

This is teaching students who are overseas. Time zones and academic calendars all differ, so beyond ability we place importance on whether you can keep fixed times.
